Problem
i. Neil is an entertainment lawyer, representing clients in the motion picture industry. Neil also has a degree in Film and has always been interested in moving into producing.
ii. Neil represents a screenwriter, who brings him a new script one day - a terrific murder mystery. Neil also represents two-star actors who would be perfect in the lead roles. Neil also represents a production company which he knows is looking for just this type of script. Neil contacts the production company and offers to put together a package of his screenwriter client, and his two actor clients, if the production company will bring Neil in as a producer on the project. The production company is definitely interested in the proposal.
iii. What must Neil do, to comply with the Rules of Professional Responsibility (Cal. Rules 1.7 and 1.8.1; Arizona Rules 1.7 and 1.8)?
