Most of us can think of situations in which a sense of urgency impelled us to take action that we might otherwise have put off or resisted. Creating a sense of urgency is, as the texts indicate, an important first step in the process of organizational change. Handled improperly, however, such an attempt could backfire. What might be two behaviors to avoid when you are attempting to establish a sense of urgency?
