Understanding the concept of Time Value of Money or what makes up a credit score is important, but understanding how finance is weaved through our daily life is key. Take the learning's from this course and find a current event that includes a financial aspect.
You will submit a 1,000 word, single spaced, write up (PDF document). Properly cite your research with at least 3 sources using APA. Make sure to not simply provide an overview of the topic, but discuss how it relates to finance and how it impacts you and the community around you.

Purpose
Personal finance is an ever-changing subject. There are constant changes in laws, regulations, practices, and products. Consumers have to keep up with these changes in order to stay savvy.
Article Guidelines
- Articles must be current-within six months of the due date.
- Articles must be relevant to your topic and has a financial impact.
- Articles must be from appropriate and credible source- see suggestions below.
Directions:
You need to find current and relevant information relating to the topic, not an overview of the topic. For example, if you choose to write about the current housing market, you should show current trends in home sales, prices, and factors driving the trends. Explain how this affects you and those in the community. If you want to focus on taxes, you could write about any issues with the current year's tax returns or current scams relating to taxes. Again, explain how this affects you and those in the community.
Assignment:
