E. During times of domestic crisis or war, Presidents have exercised extra-legal powers to achieve their objectives. This tendency has led many Political Scientists to refer to them as "Imperial Presidents" Select any of the presidents that you believe have gone beyond their constitutional powers and explain the historical circumstances and what that president actually did. Your essay should average four full paragraphs. For extra credit, the assignment could be presented in PowerPoint format, you could cut and paste from the web, pictures, graphs, charts, statistics, etc.
