What led the young united states to discard the articles

In the second discussion for this module, we discussed the impact of the Federalists and their economic policies on the formation of the United States and its governmental structure. That discussion looked at some of the decisions that went into designing a new government. In this assignment, you will consider the broad process of constructing the government and develop an outline showing the steps that went into creating the nation's government.

What led the young United States to discard the Articles of Confederation and forge a new governmental structure? What were the opposing perspectives of the Federalists and Antifederalists? How did the process affect the future and growth of the United States?

Create an outline that describes the steps that went into the making of the U.S. Constitution, including:

reasons for the initial reform movement
goals of the constitutional convention
adoption of the Constitution
outcomes, including the development of political parties
You must include at least one outside source from either a scholarly journal in the Excelsior College Virtual Library or from the list of websites available here. All sources (including the textbook and any Internet sources) are to be properly cited in either APA or Chicago/Turabian format. For more information about outlines, see the Purdue OWL.

This assignment must be submitted in an outline format. Your outline should be 2 to 3 pages long. You must consult one outside source for your outline.

Your outline is due at the end of the module and should be submitted as a Word doc in the dropbox below. When you are ready to submit your work, click on "Browse My Computer" in the Attach File area below and attach your assignment, and then click on "Submit."
