What kind of introduction strategy

Problem

I. Read the Action Steps on p. 190-192 of Radical Remission. Tell me which "Prescription for Fun" item you will incorporate into your daily routine and how you will do it.

II. What brings you joy?

III. In Radical Remission, Turner writes "In order to be excited about living, people often need to get in touch with (or get back in touch with) their deepest desires or callings. For many people, this third aspect of 'having a strong reason for living' means adding creativity back into their lives, because creativity is something that unfortunately most adults have lost touch with. For example, many people's jobs do not provide them with much of a creative outlet, and their evenings are then filled with cooking, cleaning, perhaps taking care of children, and resting," (260).

Turner goes on to say that getting a cancer diagnosis can be a wake-up call to get people to reinvigorate their relationships, work, free time, and lives with creativity, especially if they have not realized that they were not happy before. Fortunately, you do not need to get cancer to take a look at your life and how you are living with (or without meaning and values).

Answer question #1 and #2 on p. 275-6 of Radical Remission, writing down all of the things that you would do if you were guaranteed wild success, and what you would do if you only had a year left to live.

IV. What kind of introduction strategy (from the list I gave you in class lecture: [Mapping, general to specific, Op-Ed, Anecdote/personal experience, Strong opinion, shocking fact, compare and contrast] does Turner use on pp 193-194 (the first three paragraphs that form the introduction to Chapter 7 "Embracing Social Support")?

If you look closely, you will see that she uses the same strategy in every chapter. Write the name of the strategy.
