What kind of fallacies can be associated with iep

Assignment Task:

Food for Thought - IEP's (Individualized Educational Programs)

Class,

Coming from a special education background I can tell you that teachers can generalize as much as kids. I have had situations where teachers, educated men, and women who should know better, make remarks about students who have special needs. They have pre-judged the student based on an IEP (Individualized Educational Program) before getting to know the student. Since many of us in class will go on to become teachers, can anyone give me an example of how to handle a situation where the parent, teacher, etc. might have made generalized comments about a student? What kind of fallacies can be associated with this?

NOTE!! Please respond to the above in the first-person point of view substantively.
