Problem
Provide a Fantasy short story ( about 1250 words), incorporating the different elements of fantasy and the heroic quest we have discussed this term. Consider the following:
• What kind of elements of fantasy literature will you include (magic, alternative worlds etc.)?
• Will there be stock character types or a combination of these (hero, villain, mentor etc.)?
• Will any of your characters go on a quest? If so, what stages of the heroic quest will they experience and how?
Rather than state outright which characters are heroes or villains, and which stage of the heroic quest happens when, you are encouraged to write a story which includes these elements without necessarily highlighting them. How well you weave these elements into your story in a creative way will contribute to your Creativity score.
