Problem
1. Why it is important for researchers, especially those working with Indigenous communities, to be aware of their social identities/location.
2. Reflect on social identity and how it shapes responsibilities and relationships of power when you do research. For instance, researchers, including both Indigenous and non-Indigenous/settler, need to consider their own histories and relationships - i.e. cultural and territorial origins, and familial and community relations, as well as social identities (race, class, gender etc).
3. What issues do you need to be mindful of when carrying out research?
