Essay Homework
You learned about active reading strategies, memory techniques, and test-taking and study tips. Write a narrative essay (minimum 1000 words) in which you address and discuss the questions and statements listed below. Use at least three scholarly sources and remember to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the READ and ATTEND sections in your essay.
i. Considering your personal learning style, which reading strategy in chapter seven would be most useful to you? Discuss the five-part reading system and how you can apply it to meet your goals.
ii. What is your favorite type of reading (fiction, newspaper, website, etc.)? What is your least favorite type of reading? How could you incorporate reading strategies from your favorite type of reading into your least favorite type so that the experience is more active and enjoyable?
iii. Considering your personal learning style, discuss in detail the types of associations and or memory strategies you could create in order to increase memory.
iv. Chapter nine discussed the ways you can learn from a test after your teacher has graded and commented on it. How can you apply these strategies to your facilitator's feedback on your DISCUSS and COMPLETE homework?
