I. In our discussion of utilitarianism, we also discussed the distinction between the theory of value and the theory of right action. In this first essay, I'd like you to explain the difference between these two parts of utilitarianism. So your essay should answer the following questions:
a. What is a theory of value?
b. What is Utilitarianism's theory of value?
c. What is a theory of right action?
d. What is utilitarianism's theory of right action?
II. Describe egalitarianism and libertarianism (recall that these are the two theories of distributive justice we discussed in class). Then describe the "Wilt Chamberlin" argument for libertarianism and against egalitarianism.
