Problem: St. Thomas Aquinas, like Augustine and Abelard before him, explored the different values of faith and reason (or revelation and experience) in our lives. Where do you stand on that debate? Are experience and reason a good foundation for living life? Is it enough to rely on experience (yours and others) and reason to negotiate life - to make decisions? Or is faith where we turn for answers to how to behave and how things work? What is the usefulness of emotion in our lives and in our thinking? Is faith an emotion?
