Agouti signaling peptide (ASIP) is produced by the Agouti gene. Agouti mice have yellow fur (as opposed to the brown fur normal for this strain of mice) when the Agouti gene is unmethylated. Are agouti mice more likely to have high ASIP levels than brown mice?
