I have a couple of questions that I dont undestand. I read through the conclusion of the assignment and found when she talks about dream of submission and identification, but I just dont understand what she is referring to.
Here is a quote. "
But the complexity of the whole affair derives from the fact that each camp is giving aid and comfort to the enemy; woman is pursuing a dream of submission, man a dream of identification."
What is the “dream of submission” Beauvoir talks about? Which role does it play in her analysis (i.e. what does it explain)?
