Case Study:
There will be a 4 to 5 page case study worth 20% of the grade in this class. Students will pick a local government entity and write a case study on the entity.
Questions that should be answered are:
What is the jurisdiction of the entity?
Who does the entity represent?
What does the entity do?
Who are the representatives on the entity's governing body?
What are the state laws governing the entity?
What is the impact of the entity to Texas residents?
Further information will be passed out before the case study is due.
Research Paper: There will be a formal research paper worth 20% of the grade for this class. The research paper will be a minimum of 5 pages doubles spaced with 12 point font. In-text citations and a reference page will be required and NOT counted toward the 5 pages. The topic will be of the student's choosing but must pertain to Texas Government and must be approved by me.
