1. "My culture": Iceberg model of your (dominant) national culture:
Translate the model to your culture in a detailed and specific way.
Work with three lists: visible, invisible, mixed. How was YOUR culture passed on to you? Key figures & factors? Facts in history? Reflection/SWOT What do you like & dislike about your culture?
2. "My cultural Identity":
Which culture(s) (macro-, micro-, sub-,..) do you belong to? What is the importance of each of these cultures?
3. Dr. Geert Hofstede's 6 cultural dimensions
Please first assess your Perceptions and Values that differentiate your culture(s) according to Dr. Geert Hofstede 6 Cultural Dimensions. Then, compare the results of your perception with Dr.Hofstede's' research.

Part 2
Exceptionally, taking into consideration the time left and your workload, I am inviting you to work on this part of the portfolio with another student from the group and submit a joint effort work. The partner's name should be clearly indicated in Portfolio.
In order to cover this part of the portfolio, you will need to apply reflective thinking, analysis and do some serious research.
1. Please choose a company of your Nationality (it can be an international company or a strong local company). For the Belgian students: please analyse a Belgian international/national company.
2. Please read the chapter, from on the Organisational culture from Management Principles Book (Toledo). please assess the company from Organisation Culture Profile's point of view.
3. By using all the material given in class, assess how organisational culture has integrated/adapted the national culture and vice versa.
