Based on your selected health status topic write a paragraph that describes the health topic, people and areas affected most by the health problem and strategies for future research and prevention. Specifically address the following:
a. What is the health problem? Explain your health topic, why it is a public health concern and the national rates.
b. Where is the health problem? Explain what geographic area(s) appear to have the highest prevalence.
c. Who is at risk for the health problem? Explain observed racial disparities if any, explain geographic locations with high disparity scores.
d. What are possible explanations for the health problem? Explain possible explanations for what you have reported in a-c. Are the observations explained by access and health care utilization, social determinants, bias in data reporting, etc.?
e. Where do we need to go next to prevent the health problem? What steps do you think could be taken to reduce the health problem (interventions, research, policy)? Your target population is the one reported
