Discussion Post: Microtrend
Marketers need to prepare for changes of the market environment proactively. Students should apply the competitive environment analysis framework to identify a microtrend that is subtle now but may have a tremendous impact in the future. It can be either Cultural, Demographical, Social, Technological, Economical, or Political (CDSTEP).
Each student will write an essay (less than 2 pages) to identify and analyze a microtrend. Cover the following points:
• What is the microtrend?
• Why is it important?
• What is the future and impact of this trend?
The response should include a reference list. Using one-inch margins, Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space and APA style of writing and citations.
