Considering an two-dimensional irrotational flow of ideal fluid:
- write the Navier-Stokes equation (assuming gravity forces),
- substitute the irrotational flow condition and the velocity potential,
- integrate each equation with respect to x and y,
- what is the final integrated form of the three equations of motion? This equation is called the Bernoulli equation for unsteady flow.
- For a steady flow write the Bernoulli equation. When the velocity is known, how do you determine the pressure?
