What is the difference between Integrated Manufacturing and Reengineering?
Integrated manufacturing:
This provides a new approach for manufacturing. All the system composed of advanced manufacturing technology (i.e., AMT), TQM, JIT stands for just in time, inventory control methods. This is based onto computerised approach as like CAM (computer aided manufacturing). This system needs knowledge workers whose levels of technical and problem solving skill are superior.
Reengineering:
This is also termed as process innovation, redesign, core process and business process reengineering has been practiced from 1980.
