Assignment: Leadership Paper
Write an 8 to 10 pages qualitative research paper (similar to what you would read in a case study) on ethical leadership based on your interview. You will need to include a minimum of 5 outside references from scholarly material, including your assigned textbook and articles. It is required that you cite both within your text and on your reference page in APA 6th Edition format.
STEP I:
Consider posing the following questions to the leader who you are interviewing:
o What is the difference between a manager and a leader?
o How are ethics and leadership related to each other?
o How does the consideration of ethics impact your decision making?
o How does corporate culture including social responsibility impact ethics and ethical decision making?
o Can you give examples of how ethics effect areas of your organization such as marketing?
Consider these additional questions when you are formulating your paper:
o As a manager (either currently or in the future) do you see yourself implementing these items in your career? Why or why not?
o What recommendations would you make to the client?
STEP II:
Create a 5 to 7 slides PowerPoint to be completed as part of this assignment and presented either to the class or in a video presentation assignment.
o The purpose of this PowerPoint is to summarize your conversation and findings discussed in your paper.
o When presenting, pretend you are presenting to a client. Be professional, informative, and use examples if and where appropriate. Avoid simply "reading" your paper with your slides.
Format your assignment according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
