Diagnosis: Raised lesion of the chin, suspicious in nature
Patient complains that the lesion on his chin gets nicked every time he shaves and wishes to have it removed. He explained that it occasionally bleeds and has been changing in shape lately. The raised, irregular 9-mm shiny dark red lesion is suspicious for basal cell carcino The decision was to perform a biopsy to determine further treatment.
After local anesthesia was administered, the top of the lesion was shaved for pathological analysis. The specimen was sent to pathology for evaluation. Patient will return to discuss the results and further treatment.
