Problem: Drugs, Addictions & The Brain
Address the following questions in at least 200 words but no more than 300 total; be sure you use your own words and not those of another source, so no direct quotes here. I don't take points off for going over but please work to stay within the limits (this is not a thesis for your graduate degree ;-) Cite your sources using APA style in-text citations. In your answer, include at least 2 of the 4 of the resources you reviewed here (the 4 resources are: your textbook, the Secret Life of the Brain video, the Power Point, and the Heads Up Articles.) Then remember to include these 2 sources in section 4 on the reference page.
Explain, in your own words, the biological basis for addiction; in other words, what is the biological or physiological explanation for why some people get addicted (NOT the environmental reasons). Next, explain what happens in the brain when someone takes drugs immediately after ingesting the drug to the long term implications in the brain. The MORE detail is better.
