From our reading we now know that social categorization happens whenever we think about others in a way that highlights a category rather than individual information about the person (Stagnor,2016). Sometimes we may perceive someone as being in the same social category of ourselves and sometimes we perceive them as "outsiders". What is in-group favoritism and why does it occur? Do you think that in-group favoritism is a natural part of everyday life, or can people avoid it?
