I. Think of the emotions you felt today at work and list them. Which emotion words describe your working relationships with coworkers? With your supervisor? Has your opinion of workplace emotions or your awareness of them changed in your preparations for this class? What is an essential new perspective you've gained connecting emotions and organizational communication?
II. What percentage of your emotional expression at work is controlled or strategic, and uncontrolled or spontaneous? What does that tell you about yourself and your organizations emotional display norms? Would you say there's much or little space between the expression and impropriety thresholds in your work environment? Explain your answer.
