One of the most important responsibilities you have as a leader in early childhood education is making sure that the educators you lead, and the families and communities you serve, understand the students' growth and development. Sharing assessment information about standardized tests being used is an important part of this process. Thus, building capacity of your staff is an important piece of that communication about which assessments you use and why.
For this assignment you will create a 10-slide presentation for the audience identified below. (Speaker Notes Must Be Included)

8) Describe the assessment cycle.
9) How can parents be involved in the early childhood assessment process?
a) Designate a time for parents to discuss their child's growth and development.
b) Describe how parents can learn more about what their child is learning.
c) Share your programs beliefs (philosophy) about child assessment.
d) Outline what your state is doing around early childhood assessment (Universal Pre-K).
10) Your outline should be based on the standardized tests that are used with the age (infants and toddlers, preschoolers, school aged) of children you plan to work with.
11) The Helping Families Understand Standardized Testing presentation must be 10 slides in length (not including title and references slides) and formatted according to APA style.
12) Must use at least five scholarly, peer-reviewed, or credible sources in addition to the course text
