Problem
Grant writers sometimes use a "theory of change" as a visual model that can display process and intended outcomes of a grant project/program. This can be a tool for program design as well as a persuasive visual display for your reader (usually in the project description or evaluation sections of your proposal narrative). Read the "Mapping Change" document from Grantcraft, a service of the Foundation Center. What is the difference between a "theory of change" and logic model? Use the sample logic model on page 8 to draft a logic model for your project. After the completion of your logic model you may want to go back and revise your Proposal Narrative from Topic 4, specifically the Project Description. Additionally, once you draft your logic model, reflect on how this design relates to other writing you have done. How does it relate and how could a model such as this help in other professional writing settings?
