Define Standards, Policies, and Guidelines
Before you can complete the Profile Matrix and develop solutions for your company, you will need to take a closer look at how standards, policies, and guidelines affect a company's security posture. You probably already have questions about what policies were in place prior to the Childs incident. In this step, you dig deeper and learn more about the difference between standards, policies, and guidelines by creating a two- to three-page comparison report. Your report should answer the following questions:
i. What is the difference between standards, policies, and guidelines?
ii. How do they relate to one another?
iii. How well do they work in securing networks and data within the organization?
iv. This report is particularly important because it will affect the recommendations you make to your boss regarding the case. You will use this report as Appendix C to your presentation.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
i) The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
ii) The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
iii) Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
