Being a student at extern, it is crucial to take in all the information provided and to learn everything you can in the amount of time you spend at the externship site. In this scenario, the student was in the wrong while being on her cellphone throughout the day. Riley the medical assistant did the correct thing by going to her manager about the concern. However, after the manager at this site spoke to the student, she continued disobeying the offices policies. The student lacks professionalism and is acting careless. Riley on the other hand was taking the time out of her day to go above and beyond to teach the student. Riley maintained a professional behavior, even when dealing with a hardheaded student. I understand that you can only do so much for someone, and in this case, Riley did her best to make the students experience worth it. However, the student was unwilling and difficult to teach. There is only so much a student can do, and Riley did her best to manage the students time efficiently. Although this scenario has no hygiene issues, it is important to maintain a clean work environment. What can i say to this discussion post
