Discussion:

The term invasive species refers to an organism that has been introduced into a non-native region, often resulting in a number of negative environmental impacts. Discuss some of the negative environmental impacts that invasive species may have on a region. Then, choose one invasive species that has been introduced into the United States and discuss how it found its way to the country. Use at least two scholarly sources, in addition to the text, to discuss the positive or negative environmental impacts caused by the introduction of the species. Discuss ways the negative impacts from invasive species could be minimized or prevented.
