Focus on the small things you saw as they played and the wonderings you had about the whole experience of being an observer. Once this theme has been identified, you will work to develop a mind map demonstrating ways this theme could be extended and tied in to other learning through play. (Flight curriculum)

Step 3: Answer the following questions about your planning project. Use your thoughts and ideas.

How did you show that you had listened to the children's ideas and interest when you did your planning?

What are some of the challenges you faced while listening and planning according to their interests?

How does your plan include incidental learning opportunities with the children? For example, are their ways for children to engage with concepts from the real world, or science, or math? These should be incidental learning that occurs from the play. Show specific examples from your planning.

How could you involve families in some of the ideas from your planning?
