What is an article review?
First, read the assigned reading I supply. After reading it, point out certain aspects of it you thought were interesting. Comment and analyze them in any way you see fit, but also incorporate/tie in something from the current chapter we are looking at during the week. In other words, tie in some key words found in the chapter we are studying from the text that week. However, you need to make sure you use the terms/ideas accurately! This exercise, if done accurately, will deepen your knowledge and enhance your success on the tests!
Example using the reading, "The Fierce People"---"The Yanomamo Indians are an interesting SOCIETY (a group of people who live within a defined territory and who share a culture)." OR, "The Yanomamo Indians since they live in a certain area and share a culture, could be said to be a SOCIETY." See, I used a key term from chapter 1 of your text (society, p. 7) and incorporated the definition in its use. Easy, no? Just be sure the definition is somewhere near where you use the term. Accuracy counts! Please put all key terms in CAPITAL LETTERS, just like above. Use at least TWO terms from the current chapter we are covering.
Length requirement: One full page, double spaced. Be careful of sloppy grammar and spelling. If your writing is not college-level, I will deduct 10%. Have someone look it over if you're not sure, or stop by the writing lab for help.
These are the terms from the current chapter my class is on right now and all of them DO NOT need to be used but I would like at least 4 of them to be used in whatever manner applicable... You should be able to find the meanings of these terms
