Imagine you are the Nurse Manager leading an in-patient hospital Intensive Care Unit. You have been collecting data on falls, catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI), pressure ulcers, and central line associated blood stream infections (CLABSI). You notice over the last 2 months that there is a significant increase in pressure ulcers and associated infections for both CAUTI and CLABSI. You pull a taskforce together to help you with improvement.
