Question:
This week, the most interesting thing that I learned about was Tecumseh. I'm not too sure why I found him the most interesting thing out of everything we learned, but I was fascinated with the sculpture that was later made of him dying in battle. It is such a powerful statue, and it really relates to lasting because it is signifying his final mark in this world- which was fighting for his lands and people, and will forever leave that mark on the world. His sculpture enraptures him so much, with his tomahawk bow and feathers displayed. The connection that I noticed was from the extra credit event that I went to last year, because we got to learn about the feathers and what they represent, and that is brought together in his knife in the sculpture.
