Assignment task:

Everyone, not only scientists, may benefit from having a better understanding of the world around them thanks to the natural sciences. People may better understand the environment and how it functions via the study of natural sciences, which is something that is to everyone's advantage. In addition, individuals may better understand human activity's effects on the surrounding environment and how best to preserve it via the study of natural sciences. There are a few reasons why people and society must have a solid understanding of the science associated with modern-day happenings and problems. To begin, science may assist us in comprehending the world surrounding us and the processes governing it. With this newfound knowledge, we will be better equipped to make informed judgments on the matters that impact our lives. Second, we may use science to assist us in finding solutions to issues. We can design solutions that are founded on facts and have a greater chance of success if we have a scientific grasp of the science that underlies current events and contemporary concerns. Finally, science has the potential to improve our ability to communicate with one another about the topics that are important to us. Suppose we can comprehend better the science that underpins today's events and problems. In that case, we will be able to have more fruitful dialogues with one another and devise more effective solutions.

I recently read an article that warned about the dangers of using cosmetics, including plastic microbeads. Exfoliants known as microbeads may be found in various face cleansers and toothpaste. These microbeads are tiny bits of plastic. Because of their small size, they can sneak past the filters of water treatment facilities and make their way into our rivers, where fish and other marine species consume them. The article would be more accessible for me to comprehend, and I would be better able to make judgments regarding the cosmetics I use. For example, I could steer clear of face cleansers and toothpaste that include microbeads, or at the very least, would make it a point to dispose of any products that I already own that properly contain microbeads so that they do not pollute the environment. Microbeads are a substantial contributor to the issue of plastic pollution. Plastic pollution occurs when items made of plastic are found in locations where they do not belong, such as the ocean. In such a location, it threatens marine life since the animals there could mistake it for food and ingest it. It is also capable of killing animals by entangling them. The study of natural science may assist us in better comprehending the issue of microbeads and plastic pollution, as well as in locating potential solutions. For example, researchers may investigate microbeads' impact on marine life and what happens to the creatures after they consume the particles. Following the gathering of this information, rules may be developed to lessen or get rid the usage of microbeads in cosmetics.
