Problem: A 78-year-old female presented with pain in the right mandible. Physical examination showed a lesion on the left mandibular gingiva with no cervical adenopathy. Biopsy findings showed Grade 1 squamous cell carcinoma. A resection was performed including the floor of the mouth, gingiva, and marginal mandibulectomy. Pathologic findings showed Grade 2 squamous cell carcinoma arising in the alveolar ridge and invading the floor of the mouth. Need Professional Help?
