Introduction
Female soldiers serving in combat is nothing new to the U.S. military, nor are female Soldiers being attached to combat units on deployments for specific missions. With the recent policy change for females to be permanently assigned to combat units there are some integration challenges to consider to ensure a sustained success is achievable.
Research Questions
•How detrimental is a lack of support from this initiative to the Organization as a whole?
What if any, standard modification will take place in order to implement the policy to integrate females into historically all male units?
What is the potential for increased Equal Opportunity (EO) complaints within an integrated unit?
What is the potential for increased sexual harassment and sexual assault complaints within an integrated unit?
What, if any effect does the integration of female Soldiers into traditionally all male units have on Soldier/unit morale?
