Use Maslow's hierarchy of needs to strengthen Greg's career path plan by providing a profile of Greg's motivations and how they benefit his team, department, and the company.
Create an additional section to Greg's Career Path Plan that includes the following:
• Describe Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
• Explain:
• What Maslow meant by needs
• What the hierarchy represents
• How it fits overall with Maslow's theory
• How needs reveal themselves at work
• Briefly describe an event that affected Greg as related to the hierarchy.
• What need did it trigger/fulfill?
• What were the consequences in his life?
• What is the impact today?
• What has been Greg's response particularly with regards to his employment.
• Review Greg's current position.
• Using Maslow's terminology, what needs are met in Greg's current position? What needs are not being met? You can include his family's as well.
• Is it self-esteem? Safety? Love?
• You can use any category that gives you enough examples to compare.
• Profile the 2 career paths that you have mapped for Greg in your Week 2 Summative Assessment: Psychodynamic Case Study.
