Now that we know how to estimate a stock’s intrinsic value let’s try to apply what we have learned. Go to yahoofinance.com and look up Tesla Motors, Inc.’s stock by typing TSLA in the search bar near the top of the webpage. In your discussion post, I would like you to answer the following questions using data that can be found on yahoofinance.com:
1) What exchange is Tesla’s stock traded on?
2) What was the stock price of Tesla as of the close of 3/10/17? Tip: click on the 1 month chart.
3) What is Tesla’s projected price in 1 year (1y target est)?
4) Looking at Tesla’s income statement, what were their earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) for the period ending December 31, 2016?
5) Looking at Tesla’s statement of cash flow, what was the total change in cash and cash equivalents for the period ending December 31, 2016?
6) Do you think that Tesla is currently undervalued, overvalued, or fairly priced? Why do you believe that? There is no right or wrong answer with this portion.
