Assignment task:
In the clinical setting, interview a nurse, and at least two (2) additional members of the interprofessional team (Examples include but are not limited to: Physical Therapist, Respiratory Therapist, Physician, Radiologist, or Social Worker) currently using informatics in the clinical workplace. If possible, ask for a demonstration of the technology utilized. Based on the new knowledge you have learned in this course and the information you have gleaned from your interviews, develop a presentation related to information management and patient care technologies in delivering safe and effective patient-centered care. Request the opportunity to present this information in the clinical setting to at least one leader and staff member. The presentation must be supported by at least three scholarly references from within the last 5 years. The presentation is to utilize standard principles of the English language, be free from grammatical or typographical errors, and adhere to APA 7th edition formatting guidelines. The presentation will utilize PowerPoint or other presentation software. Required Elements: Initiate clinical staff interviews that include but are not limited to the following questions: What electronic technologies are used at the clinical site? What are some essential features and functions of the technology used at the clinical site?
