Step I
Conduct an informal review of the ways people in our society talk (or avoid talking) about death. To do this, spend some time on social media, browsing magazines, and watching TV, paying close attention to any mention or discussion that includes the words "death" "dying" or "die", even if it isn't referring to actual physical death (you can pull from your own experiences as well). Make note of the context in which these words were used (i.e., in reference to an actual death, or as a metaphor for something else).
Step II
In your initial post, explain what you found during your informal review. Specifically discuss the following:
i. In what ways to people use "death language" when they are NOT specifically talking about death?
ii. What percentage (you can be approximate) of the discussions you found in your review centered around human-induced death? Based on your review, are people MORE or LESS willing to engage in discussions about human-induced death versus other causes of death?
iii. What effects do human-induced deaths have on people in our society?
The response must include a reference list. One-inch margins, double-space, Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font and APA style of writing and citations.
