What does Shelby mean by radically or otherwise to adequately address these nonidea questions. The claim that Rawls does not supply principles for the rectification of past racial injustice is not controversial. Indeed, he does not supply rectification principles for any kind of injustice. His theory is not a comprehensive theory of justice, if by that one means a theory that includes an articulation and defense of the principles we are to follow when remedying the injuries that the ideal theory proscribes.
