Research Writing paper: Linguistic autobiography/reflection
Here is a series of questions that could possibly constitute a basis for your autobiography/reflection. These are only meant to be examples and you can think of any other questions you want. Reflect on one, some, or all of them, or choose a different angle for your linguistic reflection.
You need to have a coherent short essay (between 800-1000 words).
•	What does language mean to you?
•	Have you ever thought about language consciously? If so, when and why?
•	Have you ever thought about how others use or abuse language?
•	When did you first become aware that people judge certain linguistic expressions to be "good" or "bad," and what do you think the basis for those judgments must have been?
•	Did you ever experience a second/foreign language or dialect? What was the experience like?
•	How do you feel about the dominance of English as a global language?
