Discussion Post 2: Multicultural and Global
• What would be the benefits of nontraditional casting? Where have you seen it work? What are the drawbacks? Where have you seen it done poorly?
• Why is it important to note that Native American theatre is not historical or ceremonial?
• Using your knowledge of theatre history, how has crossdressing been used as both a provocative and conservative practice onstage?
• If and when you have attended the theatre, why did you choose to?
