We have been talking about qualitative research and how it aims to answer the "why".... why people do what they do... understanding the underlying patterns in human behavior.
Here is Heineken, a well-known beer brand. And, this is one of the ad campaigns that they had recently... what do you think what they asked in the marketing research (what was the question they went after) and what do you think about the possible findings came out of it that led to this campaign. Curious about your thoughts!

We are talking about business model types... we talked about unbundling, long tail, multi-sided platform so far... you all know Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music as music streaming businesses. They make money based on a business-model called "freemium" on a multi-sided platform (you have music providers, music listeners, advertisers and you provide the platform to all). 95 % of the users are free, 5 % pay and they have access to premium account, and platforms use advertising as their main revenue generator...
And, then comes the Tidal, who has a different value proposition and different business model.... what do you think of their business model?

We have been talking about technology: both the bright and dark side of it. But, we have not defined what technology is and what it wants. Here is a very insightful talk from Kevin Kelly (very interesting person). I am curious and excited to know about your thoughts on what technology wants... Now, the stage is yours.
