What do you think is the source of any similarities

Problem

Respond to your classmates and comment on the following in each response:

One of my most important core values is being open-minded. Having an open mind has opened doors that have helped connect me to all my peers, subordinates, friends, and family. I believe having an open mind in all aspects can be possible for everyone I encounter. Above all having an open mind with children will teach them to be compassionate and not judgmental because they're our future and will pass down their knowledge to future generations.

More specifically, I participate in a program called "Rays of Light" where parents of special needs children can leave their children for one night with babysitters and volunteers for free. I volunteered to take care of children with special needs and their siblings. When I first volunteered, I did not know how similar these children were to others. I had a biased opinion of them that changed with time as I volunteered more times. I noticed no one was playing with a child with Down syndrome as he was trying to play with a hula hoop. I got an extra hula-hoop and asked him if I could join him. We both struggled at first, but learning how to hula hoop with him was fun. That was when I realized how important it was for me to push away my bias so he and I could connect and have fun. It did not matter that he was different than me. Therefore, I believe in my core value of being open-minded because it helped me connect with many people without bias, and teaching it to children will improve our society.

a) Do you share the same core values or are your values different?
