Policing has it's own unique brand of stress. The work takes a toll on EVERYBODY. Sometimes problems can arise in the form of health-related illnesses, family issues, and alcoholism among many others.
• Part I: Law enforcement agencies around the country have continually struggled to address mental health issues within their own organizations. What do you think about the view of mental health within law enforcement? As the commanding officer of your precinct, what would you do if an officer disclosed mental health concerns to you? What parts of police subculture do you imagine being a barrier to this officer receiving support?
