Problem: Another element still relevant in the novel is point of view. While the story is told in third person, the blog and email entries are in first person. What do you think about how this works or doesn't work with the plot of the novel? Also, only chapters 42 and 54 are from Obinze's point of view in these final chapters. What is gained by this switch to his perspective? How conscious are you as a reader about the switches in narrative perspective? And how are they affecting your reading of the story?
