What do you believe is primary issue regarding voting rights

Problem

The right to vote is guaranteed to all American citizens. However, during the country's infancy, only white men who owned property were allowed to vote. Over the course of 230+ years of the republic's history, voting rights have been expanded in large part due to the Fifteenth Amendment, Nineteenth Amendment, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the Twenty-Sixth Amendment. However, in 2021, eighteen states passed laws to restrict voting rights. Clearly, the debate regarding voting rights is still very present within the United States.

Consider the following questions:

A. What do you believe is the primary issue regarding voting rights today? What has caused this issue? Is there a logical solution to resolve this issue?

B. Should the standardization of voting requirements (e.g., mail-in ballots, early voting, water/snacks available at polling booth, voter ID, registration requirements, etc.) be the responsibility of the federal government or should the states be left to create their own laws for voting?

C. How do you think the standardization (either federal or state) would aid in increasing voter registration and protect the integrity of the election (curtailing voter fraud)?
