Problem:
George is a 6 yr.-old m/n cocker spaniel. His owner brought him in today because she has noticed that he's dropping food out of his mouth. As your doctor examines George, you notice that his lips on the right side are longer than the left. They sag, and there is drooling on that side. His eyelids are also slack on that side. To the point that his right eye is almost closed, but the lower lid has the conjunctive exposed. There is no history of trauma, and he has not acted sick at all. What is he diagnosed with? What diagnostic tests does the doctor order? How is it treated?
